Hip hop artists Nas, Kendrick Lamar and Common will headline a new free concert in the heart of Brooklyn, New York’s Grand Central Station. The one-day concert titled Hip Hop On Grand is being put on by Mayor Bill de Blasio and Hip Hop On Grand’s organizers. The event is free and will take place on Thursday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. The concert is expected to draw thousands of fans to Grand Central Station.
Hip Hop On Grand will be a one-day celebration for the world’s largest public transportation facility. Mayor de Blasio is calling Hip Hop On Grand “the most ambitious hip hop concert of the year.”

BET Hip Hop On Grand is presented by BET and iHeartRadio. It’s being produced by Don Pepple Productions, Clear Channel Communications, Empire Distribution, BMS Live Entertainment and BMG LCC.
